JBIMS, since its foundation in 1965, has created a rich heritage and a strong alumni base that adds to its stature. The Alumni Committee of JBIMS endeavours to carry this legacy forward by maintaining a unified bond among the esteemed alumni of JBIMS. The Alumni Committee helps our alumni over 44 countries to stay connected with the happenings at the institute.

The Alumni Committee facilitates constant interactions with the alumni and acts as an interface for the alumni to reach out to the institute and contribute in the form of infrastructure development, guest lectures, scholarships, student mentorship, etc.

With a view to foster a fond relationship between the alumni and students, the Alumni Committee organizes Nostalgia – The Annual Alumni Meet every year. Nostalgia gives the alumni a golden chance to reminisce the old days and relive their memories of JBIMS. Nostalgia 2013 was held on March 2, 2013 at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. Over 400 alumni from across the globe attended the event. The evening also saw the felicitation of two batches - The Silver Jubilee Batch - Class of 1988 and the Decade Batch – Class of 2003.

To connect our alumni around the world, we organize Alumni Chapters. These chapters act as a platform for the alumni to interact and cherish fond memories associated with their Alma Mater. In 2012, Chapters were conducted in 12 cities worldwide - Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, Pune, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, San Francisco and Texas. The overwhelming response by the alumni was heartening!
In order to ensure that the alumni stay abreast with all activities at JBIMS, we present the Alumni Newsletter - Alma Matters. This quarterly newsletter provides updates on all the latest happenings at the institute. Bearing in mind the increasing importance of the online world, we have revamped our Alumni Website - newer and upgraded features have been added to make the site more user-friendly.

We also help students gain corporate exposure and maximize their learning through the Corporate Mentorship Program. Under this Program, students get a chance to seek guidance and career advice from our distinguished alumni and receive valuable insights about their area of interest.
For the third year since its inception in 2010, the JBIMS Trust Awards were held in November 2012. The awards, an initiative of Class of 1981, in the memory of two of our beloved alumni, are presented to two students for their outstanding performance in MMS-1.

The Alumni Committee plays a key role in infrastructural developments at the institute. The Committee helps mobilize funds from the alumni and utilizes it to help upgrade the college infrastructure. The Auditorium, contributed by the Batch of 1977; Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) enabled by the Batch of 1979 and 1980; four State of the Art Classrooms, gifted by the Batches of 1976, 1983, 1984 and 1985, and the Library Reading Room by the Class of 2000 are some of the fruitful results of this initiative.

The support and overwhelming response that we receive from the alumni is the driving factor that motivates us to conduct its regular activities and come up with newer initiatives each
passing year. We eagerly look forward to continue and consolidate our association with our beloved alumni by transcending distances and overcoming all divides.
