The California Gold Rush (1848–1855) began on January 24, 1848, when gold was discovered by James Wilson Marshall at Sutter's Mill, in Coloma, California. News of the discovery soon spread, resulting in some 300,000 men, women, and children coming to California from the rest of the United States and abroad. Of the 300,000, approximately 150,000 arrived by sea while the remaining 150,000 arrived by land. These early gold-seekers, called "forty-niners," (as a reference to 1849)  

The corporate environment tends to be highly unpredictable, with many hidden traps. With changing times, numerous dimensions get added to the same problem.  But only great thinkers can win the race and prove their mettle in the changing times. The event tests the skills required by the astute planner for solving intriguing problems faced by the real world.

For those that see an adventure in an adverse environment, JBIMS presents a challenge named “49er’s”…

Few situations faced by the industry on daily basis, will be given as problems and you will be expected to come up with solutions. Numbers, details, constraints, stake holders will be there to make your life more difficult.

A team of 3 will be handling the crisis situation to make the best out of mess. Final winner will be the one who will find the treasure out of the mine. 

ON-THE-SPOT Registration.

Teams of 3 will scratch their heads to find the best possible way to dig the mine with given resources and constraints.

Stage 1: Paper based elimination.

Series of problems with time limit to be solved to get the directions for next stage. In short a elimination round.

Stage 2: Final Round

Now the final 4 teams will fight against each other to reach to the fortune first. The caselet will be given containing the problem statement and the adversaries. You have to come up with the best possible solution to take away the fortune. The performance will be tested based on creativity, innovation, clear thinking.
