Let me kick off this post by extending Kudos to the  Catalyst Forum for a great induction programme for the incoming batch. It is without question, hands down the best induction session JBIMS has seen till date.

 The kind of efforts put in by the senior batch in the face of unending assignments, lectures, and impending results was simply a treat to watch and be part of. The sheer magnitude of knowledge sharing that has happened over the past 10 days internally among the junior and senior batch was simply mind boggling. 

Of course, I chipped in with my two cents; sometimes when called upon, sometimes out of my sheer need to celebrate and share all the fraud gyaan I've acculumated and assimilated over the years. In my own inimitable way (someone from the junior batch and PD did try to imitate me during the ice breaker. I just pray that they did a good job of it) I tried to drill some sense of general awareness, economics, integrity and honour (A man is nothing without his honour and integrity) into the thick skulls of the juniors.

The general consensus among the seniors is that the juniors are an enthusiastic bunch of folks. But there is also an across the board concern about the level of discipline and respect, to be more precise, the lack of both within the batch.

To the Juniors I would like to say that there is a method and a good reason to all the intellectual madness that you have witnessed over the last 10 days. It is just that like everything in life, you will be able to completely appreciate the beauty and purport of the entire process only in hindsight. Till then just hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
